Service Description

Experienced in all areas of trademark, copyright, cannabis business, Internet and sports and entertainment law, including searching, clearing, filing, and prosecuting domestic trademarks; maintaining, policing and defending trademark registrations, assisting clients in creating international trademark portfolios, and domain name enforcement. 

International trademark experience includes Madrid Protocol filings, European Community filings and national filings throughout the world, as well as maintenance of international trademark portfolios through a network of foreign trademark experts.
 We are also experienced in the filing of copyright registration applications with the U.S. Copyright Office, in copyright and technology licensing, intellectual property litigation as well as the creation of effective End User License Agreements, Privacy Policies, Terms of Use and Internet advertising, e-commerce and privacy matters. I have a variety of billing packages that I make available to clients, including hourly fees, fixed fees, and specialty packages designed to help entrepreneurs and start-up businesses through this difficult economic climate.

Cannabis Law

Jay’s cannabis practice Jay included brand development and protection; guiding clients through cannabis business licensing, compliance, and operational issues. With respect to cannabis compliance, Jay has been an active participant in various state and local stakeholder working groups, which are vital to the drafting and revising of state and local laws affecting cannabis businesses. Jay is an expert advisor for supported businesses on legal developments and regulations affecting production, transportation, microbial, potency and pesticide testing, and compliant handling and sale of cannabis and cannabis products. He has drafted numerous Standard Operating Procedures affecting pesticide use, green waste and legal compliance touching all areas of compliant cannabis business operations.
